The ideal candidate will be local to Orange County/San Clemente, CA  in order to come into the office a couple of times per week or several times per month.

The Director of Contract Manufacturing will oversee contract manufacturing operations at multiple co-packing facilities throughout the United States, Canada and Brazil.  This includes overseeing and monitoring co-packer manufacturing processes and staff, quality control, facilitating communications and problem solving between the co-packer and SAMBAZON.  This position is also responsible for managing the yields/losses and new product commercialization at each co-packer. The Director of Contract Manufacturing will join in managing, negotiating and enforcing all existing and any new co-packer contracts and relationships.

Examples of just a few key responsibilities include:
  • Manage current and future relevant contract manufacturers to meet the production needs of SAMBAZON’s current and new product offerings and evaluate co-packer qualifications and equipment capabilities.
  • Facilitate initial startup procedures with new co-packers by establishing certifications, implementing SAMBAZON SOP’s and coordinating plant trials
  • Manage initial qualification and production start-up of all new co-packers and provide technical information to SAMBAZON Sales, Marketing, and Ops on all co-packers manufacturing capabilities.  
  • Manage all phases of production planning and production run timing with individual contract manufacturing facilities and manage timing and budgets appropriately to assure zero OOS situations.
  • Manage all new product launches at co-packers manufacturing facilities.
